Is that how you make love? All the things that make me go...hmm. It's my newest book! Disclaimer added.
So here we are. And here I am. I'm the author, the creator, the spinner of stories that make you feel. Which brings us to this. My next release...what is my intentions to make you feel about that read?
How about love. How about need, hope, forgiveness, want, desire, and happiness. How about...alive. More to the point here- how will you feel about me once you read my next release?
When I dabbled on this little story (which as you will see, isn't little at all) I had no idea what lead I would take. Erotica is the sort of genre that if done right, only makes the reader want more. Of course, I have to give a disclaimer of sorts. I know what this means, coming out of the author's closet so to speak. My message icon has taken a life of its own already and the book isn't even out yet. I am realizing quickly, readers take the world you create as a reflection of your own. Some readers are hard core fans. The most asked questions?
"Is this new story fact based?" Uh NO.
"Is this new story how you like to make love?" Uhhhh NO. (Well, in some instances perhaps, but that is not the point here. Stay with me.)
And last but not least, "Do you do the things that you write? Cause' that has to be what you are." No. No. No. Noooooo. "Sandcastle Soldier" is 100% ficitional. I'm a romance writer. I'm also a horror writer. A paranormal writer. And an overall damn good writer (which is why I make you feel that I have felt, done, or do the things I write. For those of you who haven't read my books, go ahead, read me...you can see for yourself). As an author, I went with a story. The story is of its own mind and your imagination, and in no way based on my life.
Disclaimer alert *I harmed no spoons, corn stalks, gardener's sheds, gear shifts, benches, or bedposts in the writing of this book. And if you ever have the pleasure of visiting my home, all spoons can be eaten with.
Now with that being said. This book is hot. This book is all concieved in my mind. And this book is coming. With all the preparations that had to happen with this story, all the queries, all the advice, all the tantrums, and warnings, the editor's cut, the author's demand...this story has kinda' made me go...hmm. I can't believe it is happening. I can't believe I had this story in my head (and yes, my closest family and friends have had their fair share of opinions on it also, but it's a story that refused to be tucked away). The release date is top secret. I want it to be one of those, it's Christmas morning kind of things. I...can't...wait. Hope everybody is enjoying this spring warmth. I know I am. Have happy reads! <3, Elle Moon
