To releases'...painting fences...and doing what feels good! 5th Chamber's "Bidder Birdhouse" is almost live!
Like watchin' paint dry on the neighbors' fence...sometimes we are taught things like patience in the most mind numbing ways. So many good things have happened the last few weeks. I've reconnected with some old and dear friends, I've tried new things, wrote enough chapters to fill two stories ends, loved every minute, laughed at the minutes I didn't, and made the best of me even better. But watchin' that paint dry on a neighbors' fence so to speak, well...that sorta' makes you have to stop and take the life you live, in. You know, the boring with the excitement, the bad with the good, the over with the start...watching paint dry is the surest lesson that sometimes we need to be patient. And that we always need to be real.
For a writer, stillness and real is golden. It means letting the ideas of books, and stories, and love rush completely in. A writer never sits truly still. The mind works and talks and lives. Like the paint on the neighbors fence thing...a writer sometimes sees a story within those stories. I'm unapologetic about that.
My release is still in review. Hence waitin' on fences to dry. Amazon you're a hungry girl. As it is, I wait. My story will be free, for the next five days! And print in this story can be ordered in the next few weeks. More paint. More waiting. But the perfection will be worth it.
And did I tell you? The Soldier story...well that lovely and dark and haunting tale is up next for review. I can't express enough how the wait on that book has felt. I'm not so nervous anymore. I've learned that patience goes a long way, doing what feels good is the best kinda' living, and that kempt fences are sometimes a necessity.
Fifth Chamber fans "Bidder's Birdhouse" is a must read. A surprise peek. A stand alone that stands on all whether you've read every 5th book or not. Besides, Abram Wells is a man worth painting fences for. But isn't the love of a good story always worth that...
It's fall! Everybody have a great Monday and take a moment to download a story that will make you forget all about paint drying. Happy Reads! <3, Elle Moon
